New Documents Index & Additions
A new collection of documents related to Castaneda and the Witches has been added to the site. These are now accessible from the site’s top Menu listing. This collection replaces the set from the 1999 version of the site with new and improved scans of key vital records like Castaneda’s death certificate, Castaneda’s last will executed three days before his death, Carol Tiggs’s and the Blue Scout’s birth certificates, Las Vegas marriage licenses and immigration records. Many new documents, most not previously published anywhere, have been added, including accounting records from Cleargreen, Laugun Productions and Toltec Artists (corporations Castaneda established), as well as annual information statements and incorporation documents for each of those corporations.
To accompany the Taisha Abelar chronology just added here this year, the new collection also includes Taisha’s parents immigration documents (which establish her date of birth), her change of name filing and Taisha’s 1996 accounting statements. Similarly, in conjunction with the updated Florinda Donner chronology being published here this week, the new documents collection includes here immigration documents, name changes, marriage certificates and powers of attorney.
Miscellaneous documents added to this collection include Cleargreen’s letter to a journalist requesting an interview with Castaneda and a postcard from Carol Tiggs’s mother detailing her whereabouts as a student and young adult.
